The 22nd round of the English Premier League will treat football fans to another exciting London derby as Chelsea host Brentford at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s poor run of form continues. The Blues have gone five league games without a win, managing only three draws during that period. Last week, they suffered a 2–1 away defeat against Fulham, with Harry Wilson scoring the decisive goal in the 81st minute.

Brentford, on the other hand, are enjoying an excellent spell of results. They have won four of their last six matches and drawn the remaining two. This impressive run has allowed them to overtake Chelsea in the league table and move up to an outstanding fifth place among the Premier League’s top teams.

Prediction for the Chelsea vs Brentford

Chelsea’s terrible form over the last five matches has seen them slip from 2025/26 title contenders to a side now fighting merely to secure a Champions League place. Brentford will come into this match aiming to extend their strong run by taking three points from an opponent clearly struggling for consistency.

However, I believe Chelsea’s uncertain status ahead of this fixture could actually work in their favor. Brentford may underestimate them, and that could prove costly. For that reason, I recommend betting on a home win.
