On October 26, at the Emirates Stadium in London, the Premier League leader will face a mid-table side—Arsenal host Crystal Palace.

Arsenal rightfully sits at the top of the EPL table. In eight matches, the Gunners have dropped points only twice: a draw with Manchester City (1-1) and a narrow defeat against Liverpool (0-1). A strong run of three consecutive wins has allowed them to pull away from their nearest chaser by a one-match margin. On top of that, the team recently demolished Atlético Madrid 4-0 in the Champions League.

Naturally, Crystal Palace’s results look more modest against this background—eighth place in the table with three wins, four draws, and one defeat. For Oliver Glasner’s men, however, such numbers can be considered fairly successful, since both players and fans of Palace have far fewer ambitions than their illustrious opponent.

Prediction for the Arsenal vs Crystal Palace

On paper, this is a match between a clear favorite and an underdog. I have little doubt the Gunners can transfer their superiority from paper onto the pitch, as they continue their strong title pursuit. Away from home, Crystal Palace are unlikely to offer serious resistance against such a formidable side, so the logical bet here is on an Arsenal victory.
